Creative Hive Live event 29 May MediaCityUK
An innovative creative media group called Creative Hive based at the University of Salford has invited submissions for an exciting digital collaboration event being held at MediaCityUK on 29 May 2012.
Marking the launch of the School of Media, Music & Performance final-year shows, Creative Hive Live is set to feature the best artistic talent from across the North West, including Salford and other universities.
The event, at the University’s state-of-the-art ‘Egg’ space in its MediaCityUK building, will consist of interactive displays, storytelling, performances, installations, live events and more, and will give students and graduates the chance to meet potential employers while showing creative industry representatives some of the best emerging talent in the region.
There will also be speed networking sessions, using the Egg’s interactive touch tables, allowing attendees to display and discuss their work using the latest technology.
Alex Fenton, Interactive Media Developer at EDinteractive and founder of Creative Hive, said: “The aim of Creative Hive is to provide real-world opportunities and connections between people in education and industry. It gives people the chance to showcase their work digitally at www.creativehive.org and in person at events like Creative Hive Live.”
Event curator and sculptor Angela Tait said: “After the success of our previous events, we are excited about the possibilities that MediaCityUK brings. One of the main aims of Creative Hive is to promote cross-disciplinary co-operation within the creative industries and so we are particularly looking forward to welcoming collaborative enterprises in this fabulous digital showcase.”
